I tried a different approach this time and, honestly I feel the result is waaaaaaaay better. I'll probably redo Xyui's sheet entirely once he reaches gamma.

Powers/Abilities: Nothing special; his build makes him very fleet-footed and he's also deadly accurate.

Personality: Yilthe is acknowledged for his peace-making/negotiation skills and is quite obviously a pacifist. Despite this, he has no qualms about hunting live prey for food though he rather likes fruit more than most predators; if he wasn’t ariel in nature he’d likely be living in Esurien. He’s very respectful of the life of his prey however and it’s very difficult for him to purposefully inflict suffering on anything which is why he kills his hunt quickly. He’s very sensitive and responsive to the feelings of others around him which tends to make him popular with females.

He doesn’t like being the center of attention and will always avoid large crowds preferring one-to-one contact as an alternative. He’s a good listener but he has a horrible habit of falling asleep if you don’t make sure he’s talking once in a while. He’s good at getting along with pretty much everyone, humans included.

He’s very contact oriented; he likes to touch when trying to communicate something. He’s good at brushing things off if they bother him but you can tell when you’ve upset him because, if he is unsettled about something, he tends to stonewall and fidget. He loves to play, especially with children, and he’s quite creative and easily amused.

History: Yilthe was born into a land where the unease between the taurs and humans had escalated into all-out war. Up 'till age 10 he was indoctrinated by his people that humans were evil and sought to destroy the peace. At this point in his life, he was hardly the sweet, sensitive person he is now. He was an only child who was very outgoing and aggressive though still honest at heart. He had a good relationship with his parents who also had benevolent intentions and cared for him well but, because of the state of things, they had succumbed to a stereotypical hatred of humankind.

During his 10th year, Yilthe's family along with a few others were in the process of traveling to a different location for safety. Unfortunately, the humans had gotten wind of the situation and prepared an ambush for the unsuspecting taurs. All the children where captured, drugged, and taken away to a heinous place called The Pit. Yilthe never saw his parents again after that. The Pit was a facility where humans took captured taur babies/children and trained them to fight against each other (both inside the building and with the enemy). The younger ones often never learned to speak english and they all acted savagely like wild animals. It was during Yilthe's first pit-fight here that he received the wound which resulted in the scars on his chest. It was a one-on-one test fight against a female panther; Yilthe was so utterly confused that he failed to react fast enough to avoid her first blow. Eventually, he won but it hardly felt like a glorious victory for he had been forced to kill the other taur to end the fight.

He hated every second in that place... all of the taurs were kept in separate cages surrounded by solid stone walls, the only entrance/exit being situated on the front side. Because of this, Yilthe was unable to interact with anyone outside the cage and became very lonely. He fought hard at first but was eventually beaten into submission. He became much quieter and the value he placed on life became far greater. His life continued on like this for about 3 months; he learned quickly, becoming so efficient at killing that he was able to do so in a single strike.

Luckily his stay was cut short by a traveling herbalist who happened to be passing through. He felt sorry for the poor young taurs and, seeing his strong spirit, agreed to 'purchase' Yilthe from the humans responsible. The boy was surprised at the man's notion and had thus learned that not all humans were malicious. He was cautious at first, having become much like a scared animal after his experiences in The Pit, but over a period of 2 years developed the characteristics of peace-mindedness and compassion he now possesses. He did wonder about his family from time to time, but never wanted to return to the place of his birth so he let it go. Feeling it was time to move on, he left, a changed person, and traveled from there to a forest where he met a rogue band of taurs.

He approached them as a friend and was adopted into their group; he remained there for about 2 more years but it didn't last. He woke up one night to the overwhelming stench of blood and the dead bodies of his friends; he saw movement nearby and realized that the attacker was right next to him. All he remembers seeing was a pair of cold, pale yellow/green eyes that were as lifeless as the fallen around him. The killer left him there, the reason why remains unknown and puzzles him to this day. He stayed in the camp for a few days in order to properly put his friends to rest; he turned the entire place into a sort of graveyard during that time. With nothing else to do, he took off in a direction and only had to travel a few hours 'till he reached Siyyon at age 14 where he has been ever since.
